Rev. Laura’s Weekly Update for May 2, 2024.
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, Rev. Laura’s reflection was titled "Queer Migration." As hostile laws are adopted across the county, queer families and individuals are making their way to states like MN. Rev. Laura painted a picture of what is happening, how the UUs are connected, and what MSUS might do as a congregation to support the effort to find safety and sanctuary for those who are migrating to MN.
Rev. Laura Smidzik joined us in August 2016 as our first full time minister. She loves Sunday worship and believes that coming together for services and participating in church life is a radical act of connection, community and spiritual growth.
